POST TITLE: Clinical Teaching Fellow - Full Time Posts
DEPARTMENT: Medical Education UHCW and Warwick Medical School
 

These posts are part of an innovative teaching initiative which seeks to professionalise clinical teaching, at the same time allowing individuals to develop their own teaching skills and expertise in medical education. They will suit individuals with a keen interest in undergraduate teaching who wish to pursue a career in a teaching hospital. There are 5 full time Clinical Teaching Fellow (CTF) posts (and seven 50:50 posts in the department) which form an important arm of the clinical teaching staff of Warwick Medical School’s principal teaching hospital: the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) Trust.

These posts are principally aimed at ST3+ who wish to strengthen their educational credentials and every effort will be made to tailor each post to their overall clinical and career needs. Basic trainees who have completed their professional examinations and basic training schemes may also wish to apply.

They will suit individuals with a keen interest in undergraduate teaching who wish to pursue a career in a teaching hospital. There are 5 full time Clinical Teaching Fellow (CTF) posts and 5 50:50 Clinical Teaching Fellow posts and 2 50:50 Simulation Teaching Fellow posts in the department which form an important arm of the clinical teaching staff of Warwick Medical School’s principal teaching hospital: the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) Trust.
 

The full time posts are principally aimed at ST3+ who wish to strengthen their educational credentials and every effort will be made to tailor each post to their overall clinical and career needs. POST TITLE: RCP Preparation for PACES  Revision Course - Clinical Lead P/T
DEPARTMENT: Royal College of Physicians
 

We anticipate that there will be approximately 10 days’ work required to develop the course and content, prior to its first delivery in April 2020. There is the expectation that we will deliver this two-day course four times in 2020, and six times in 2021, with the first delivery dates commencing 25-26 April and 2-3 May 2020; this post will be required to lead the delivery on these occasions, totalling 12 delivery days in 2020 and 18 delivery days in 2021. Final course dates are still to be confirmed and can be planned around your availability.

Location – The RCP has offices in London and in Liverpool, and this role is welcome to work from either of these sites, or from home, during the course development stage. The 2020 courses will be delivered in the West Midlands region, and travel will be required to various locations in this area for course dates. Infrequent travel to partner organisations and to the RCP’s premises in Liverpool and/or London is expected.

POST TITLE: RCP Preparation for PACES  Revision Course - Mock Examiner for PACES Revision Course, Education - P/T
DEPARTMENT: Royal College of Physicians


This 2-day PACES revision course will be delivered four times in 2020, and six times in 2021, with the first delivery dates commencing 25–26 April and 2–3 May 2020. There is a half-day training workshop for examiners before each course delivery, the first being delivered on 24 April 2020.

Location – The 2020 courses will be delivered throughout the West Midlands region, and successful applicants will be required to travel to various locations within this area.
