UHCW is one of the largest and busiest NHS University Teaching Trusts in the country. We have an exciting partnership
with Warwick Medical School which is based in one of the UK's foremost universities, to combine excellence in teaching and
research with the highest quality medical education across a range of innovative programmes.
Medical Students
The Trust is the major teaching Hospital attached to Warwick Medical School. The students are all post graduates and
spend three years of their course attached to doctors and nurses within the Trust to gain experience of all aspects
of medicine. The Trust works closely with Warwick Medical School in the development and delivery of their medical
course. There are many Professors and other academic staff who work partly as clinical doctors for the Trust as well
as pursuing an educational and research role for the medical school. This is a highly fertile partnership and has
stimulated many consultants to move to work in the Trust. The new hospital has been designed with a major educational
commitment and the attached Clinical Sciences Building is a superb educational facility.
